The VFW knows better than anyone that patriotism begins at an early age, so we reward it through our SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. Other programs include FLAG EDUCATION along with VFW in the classroom. If you share our values of PATRIOTISM, TEAMWORK, LOYALTY & SERVICE then get involved. PATRIOTISM has no expiration date. To all VETERANS of overseas conflicts, WE PROMISE to foster camaraderie, to serve & to advocate.

The VFW Dept has recognized your Wilmington VFW Post 5422. Of Illinois as an All-State Team Post. Thank you to all who have helped earn this recognition.
What does it take to earn All-State Status? Participation and support in programs to include: Community Service, Safety, Americanism, Honor Guard Duties, Vet Assistance, VA Home/Hosp. Support, Poppy Programs, Youth Activities, Scouting, Legislative Support, Blood Programs, Membership, Voice of Democracy, Patriots Pen, Teacher Recognition, Homeless Vets Programs, National Home Support, Military Assistance, Attendance at all District and State Meetings along with passing the final inspection.
Your Wilmington VFW Post 5422 has met them all and exceeded them.
